Continued High

Currently due to his condition and being in ICU, Connor is not accepting any visitors at this time.

Well, our positive day ended with an opportunity for both Shan and I to each spend quiet time with Connor, holding his hand, talking with him and having him present. He was pretty frustrated at times and is still working his way off the remaining hallucinatory drugs, which I'm sure have been making him question the alternate reality he has awoken to. It was wild to explain to him about the accident and the amount of time he has been in the hospital and see him processing this in his mind and relaying his emotions back through his eyes and face.

We left him
this evening in the capable hands of nurse Jordan who has been with him several nights and was excited to finally get to meet him. He is scheduled to rest the remainder of tonight with no activities planned. Tomorrow is shaping up to be a busy day with his breathing test to start and then physical therapy, along with other therapy staff beginning to make their appearances for their initial evaluations.

We also are anticipating a visit from his neurosurgeon who has been doing high-fives with us on the phone - he cannot believe the progress Connor has made so far (great to hear from).

We are eating at home tonight for the first time in close to 23 days - tending to Chachi who unfortunately has a cold and basking in the small glow of a big day - goodnight all.

Thank you for your continued efforts on homework.  It seems to be working!!!
