Great News!

Currently we are looking for visitor/s who can sit with Connor on Sunday from 5-8pm this week.  He has a full schedule during the days and doesn't have time for visitors until this time.

Well we made it to the 6-week mark from the moment of Connor's accident. How far we have come and how far we have to go - seems like we can do anything as a family and we will accomplish what we thought was impossible.

Today we have found out that the therapy team anticipates that Connor will be ready to come home in 12 days, several months sooner than we had been told to anticipate. His progress on PT & OT has far exceeded what his therapy team had expected to see when he arrived and has blown all of us out of the water. We were hoping to have him home for Thanksgiving and now it looks like it will be an early B-Day gift for Dave next month.

His incision is healing quite well and we got our first look at his sutures and scar which is extensive but healthy looking.
His left arm is starting to wake up again after going to sleep from the last surgery, which is excellent to see. A major setback from before the surgery, but thankfully is returning to life, which is helping Connor mentally.

Off to much needed sleep
tonight, on to tomorrow which continues to be a better day - goodnight all.

  2. Oh, wow! I'm crying tears of joy with the leaps and bounds he has made!!! I have prayed for a quick recovery for a while now and he has me crying. Connor, I am so proud of you!!! Keep going! The goal is well within reach. And just because you are this far along, don't think I'm going to stop praying for you. I pray for all my family whether they be ill or well. It's the only thing I can do to help and helping others makes me happy. Keep going, Connor! You're almost home! YAY CONNOR!!!
