The Body's Ability to Heal

Currently due to his condition and being in TRACU, Connor is not accepting any visitors at this time.

After getting a really good nights sleep, Connor is noticeably improved - his left arm and leg is stronger and can move more.  He asked to stand up to get a stretch.  David, his nurse had him stepping sideways and backwards.  He's getting there.

Connor announced that he is hungry today.  His left arm feels tingly as the nerves are reconnecting.  Yesterday, Dave thought Connor was trying to tell him that his arm was itchy.  Now it makes sense what he was trying to say.  His communication skills are much improved today.  He can even get some words out without the speaker valve, so that helps.  My lip reading skills are not very good, apparently because I find myself asking him to try to speak. Even just a little sound is so much more helpful deciphering his thoughts.

Mary, the speech therapist was just here and she said Connor is making GIANT changes. She's never seen anyone improve so rapidly.  She now has approved Dave and I to use the speaking valve with him - we don't have to wait for a nurse to use it anymore.  Mary did a memory exercise with him to see if he could remember three pictures for 10 minutes.  He passed with flying colors!!

He continues to wear himself out with stretching in bed and exercising his arms.  He fell right to sleep once Mary left.  This healing business is hard work!

*Nat Sulph 200c once/day
*Hypericum Perforatum 30c twice

  1. As I sit here in NJ, I long for several thousand dollars so I could fly out there and do something, ANYTHING, to help, be it sit with Connor overnight, or helping with Chaichi and Sloane. But , the money fairy hasn't been here yet, so I continue to offer support and prayers sending them quick as can be with Aunt Terry and Uncle Russ' help, of course.

Dave and Shan, you continue to amaze me. You come across (on your blog, at least) like this sort of stuff happens all the time. Now, while I'm sure it doesn't, you both seem so calm about the entire ordeal. I needed surgery and was a basket case for close to two months. And I was in and out in 2 1/2 days!!! Bravo to you both, the calmest couple this millennia!!!

Please let me know if there is anything i can do to help. I'll try my best. Hugs and love being sent across the miles. ~Janet & Frank
